"So, Sage. I guess that SD on your Star-Zap stands for Star Detention, right?"

― Vivica trying to anger Sage Star Charmed

Vivica is one of the main antagonists in the Star Darlings animated and book series. She first appears in the episode Star Charmed and is voiced by Romi Dames.

Wanting to be the center of attention, she says that the acronym 'SD' stands for Star Dipper after noticing that twelve girls had the same message on their Star-Zaps and had to report to Lady Stella's office on the first day. Since the Star Darlings' cover story is that they're part of a remedial class, the label stuck.

Story[]

History[]

Vivica is only in her first year, yet she is determined to be the most popular girl in school. She is mean to the main cast, saying that "SD" stands for "Star Dippers" and not "Star Darlings". Her cohorts are Aerabelle, Violetta, and Brenna.

Leona's Unlucky Mission[]

After auditioning for Leona's team, Vivica asked Professor Langtree for the referee to select a second squad based on the results of the auditions for Leona's team. As a result, the band Vivica and the Visionaries was created, in which she is a vocalist.

Stealing Starlight[]

In Stealing Starlight, it shows that Vivica isn't all about negativity. In truth, she feels lonely and ostracized by the Star Darlings and turns to Rancora's side, who would give her all the attention she desires. Vivica is also mentioned as the subject of a prophecy that a Dark Starling will decide the fate of Starland; thus, Rancora tries to keep her under control.

After failing to grant a negative wish and being positively affected by the Star Darlings band's music, Vivica remembers how hopeful she was when she first arrived at the academy, and her positive aura glows brighter. It seems she has turned good.

However, during the Light Giving Day celebration, Vivica stands apart from the crowd. Her negative feelings then return as she watches the Star Darlings band perform. Vivica once again feels miserable, sorrowful and even tearful and thinks that nothing has changed and that she'll forever be in the shadows.

Vivica’s Wishling disguise

Vivica is slender with fair skin and she has long pale blue hair and eyes and tends to wear a pink, sparkly shirt with a center light pink star with a teal long-sleeved shirt, a teal-blue skirt, teal stockings, white high heels, and her teal star purse to carry with her. Also, she has a beauty mark below her lavender purple lips. When in Wishworld Vivica disguised herself as a Wishling with blonde hair with a pale blue strand, a pink sweater, a green shirt, a blue skirt, stockings, and shoes.

Personality[]

Vivica is mean to the main cast, saying that "SD" stands for "Star Dippers" and not "Star Darlings" and longs to be the center of attention. She is also antagonistic, snobbish, selfish, jealous, and nasty. While she is only in her first year, she's determined to be the most popular girl in Starling Academy.

When she fails to grant a negative wish and hears the Star Darlings band's music, Vivica remembers how optimistic she was when she first arrived at the academy, and her positive aura glows brighter. It seems she has turned good.

Powers and Abilities[]

Starling Physiology[]

Being a Starling, Vivica possesses all of the natural traits that the species has.

  • Negative Wish Energy - Vivica harnesses negative wish energy rather than positive wish energy for most of her abilities.
  • Energy Blasts - As displayed in The Power of Twelve, wish energy can be used to fire streams, bursts, orbs, and waves of offensive power against opponents.
  • Force Fields - Demonstrated in the above special, Starlings can conjure shields as defense.
  • Extended Lifespan - In Scarlet Discovers True Strength, it’s confirmed that Starlings can live for thousands of years, as Mira’s grandmother is over thousands of years old. Before that, in Leona's Unlucky Mission it was hinted that a few decades wasn’t too long in comparison to Starling lifespans. However, they do not have eternal youth, as Professor Elara Ursa is stated to be among one of the oldest wish granters and has clearly aged in a similar manner to a wishling elder.
  • Disease Immunity - In Scarlet Discovers True Strength, it states that the wish energy surrounding Starlings keeps them from contracting illnesses.
  • Superhuman Knowledge - In Leona's Unlucky Mission, Starlings are shown to be nigh-perfect at mathematics from birth. Astra's Mixed-Up Mission also implies that Starlings are the same way towards towards literature and similar subjects such as language and grammar.

Trivia[]

  • Rancora, (in the guise of Lady Cordial), had successfully persuaded Lady Stella to admit Vivica to the Starling Academy, because Vivica was quite like Rancora when she was younger.
  • Vivica has an excellent singing voice.
  • The cancelled book Star-Crossed Summer would've revealed that Rancora believed she would become a dark starling that decided the fate of Starland.
