Starling Academy is the main setting of the Star Darlings book series and its YouTube adaption. It is a boarding school for female Starlings, teaching them how to grant wishes and more.
Information[]
Starling Academy is a respected four-year all-girls school dedicated to wish granting and its associated talents. The entrance exam is super challenging, and getting accepted is quite an honour. The good news for parents is that the cost of such star-studded education is mere Cosmic rays!
Being Starland’s most esteemed boarding school, students learn energy manipulation, wishful thinking, shooting star travel, and more. The academy teaches its students how to grant wishes made on birthday candles, shooting stars, and dandelion puffs by Wishworld occupants. The all-girls academy boasts the starriest staff members, faculty, and students.
Of course, not everyone who attends wants to be – or will qualify to be – a Wish Granter. But no matter what their majors are, students at Starling Academy can count on getting the universe's most stellar education.
In Starling Academy, among more than 1,800 students, you will find every type of personality you can imagine. But all the female students have one thing in common: they are brilliant and highly motivated to succeed. It is natural for the most prestigious educational institution of Starland that attracts the best instructors to its campus.
When not busy illuminating the world's brightest minds, the members of the teaching staff relax in their on-campus homes, located behind the Radiant Recreation Center. This area is referred to by the students as StarProf Row. Each house has a small yard, garden and a fantastic view of the Crystal Mountains.
Starling Academy Manual[]
The Student Manual is a holo-book containing a list of the rights of the students of the Starling Academy. The highest function in the government of the Starling Academy is performed by the Light Leader.
Rules of a Star Student[]
There were rules in the Student's Guide that the students had to follow.
- Think carefully, creatively, and courageously.
- Act in the best interest of all Starlings.
- Follow your own unique path.
- Give more than you receive.
- Be a shining light for others.
- Do not be critical about your friends in the group.
- You should be nice and helpful.
- This is how an atmosphere of kindness and support is created, which encourages open dialogue and sharing of experiences. (one of the guiding principles of the Academy)
Touring Campus[]
There are various fruit orchards outside the school grounds. Constellation Lane leads to the school building, and the Cosmic Transporter allows students to move around the campus. The following buildings are located on campus:
- Astral Auditorium - The first stop for new students. It's where Lady Stella welcomes every incoming first-year class and introduces them to campus life. The interactive auditorium, which uses technology that stimulates the five senses, is also where general assemblies, shows, and graduation ceremonies take place.
- Halo Hall - An extensive star-shaped building where classes for Starling Academy are taught. It is one of the most famous buildings all over Starland. Halo Hall has five main stellations, each of which branches into a different part of the academy.
- The first corridor leads to the offices of staff, principals and a psychologist.
- Within the second passageway are rooms relating to Starland technology. These rooms include Star-Zap Repair & Maintenance, IT Department, Rapid Transit Services, Wish Energy Management, and a Bot-Bot Lodge.
- In the third hallway, there are rooms for data about students. This includes a Teachers' Lounge and Student Holo Files.
- The fourth pathway brings students to their classrooms.
- The fifth and final hallway houses the science department and classrooms.
- Wishworld Surveillance Deck - a soaring tower located high above campus. Students of Starling Academy go here to observe Wishings through a high-powered telescope.
- Star Quad - The central court in Starling Academy that connects to every part of campus. There is a Dancing fountain in the middle and the Band Shell and Hedge Maze nearby.
- Celestial Café - A cafeteria where students from Starling Academy visit to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Illumination Library - The massive library of Starling Academy. It holds nearly every holo-book ever written.
- Student Dormitories
- Little Dipper Dormitory - A building where first and second-year students live.
- Big Dipper Dormitory - A building where third and fourth-year students live.
- Radiant Recreation Center - a sports and fitness center belonging to Starling Academy. It is where students take their Physical Energy (P.E.), health, and fitness classes.
- Teachers' residences - An estate of single-family houses with gardens. It is the quarters of the teaching staff of Starling Academy.

Classrooms are located in the Starling Academy building and in a few other places around campus. Holo-walls, holo-books and superstar computers are standard in every classroom. The bigger rooms are for the classes everyone has to take, such as Wisher 101 and The Golden Days, a class about Starland’s history. The smaller classrooms are for more advanced classes and seminars.
