Starland is a planet and irregularly shaped celestial body inhabited by Starlings. Due to its bright yellow glow, it resembles a star from a distance.
Description[]
Starland resembles Earth or Wishworld, possessing unnamed continents and oceans, large cities and various landscapes. It’s most notable trait is the widespread wish energy that makes nearly, if not all parts of the planet glimmer. It hosts unique flora and fauna that are often edible.
Unlike Wishworld, Starland lacks marine animals such as fish. In the series it appears to be nighttime constantly, while in artwork daylight skies are shown. In the books they’re heavily implied to experience daytime, supported by the presence of a Sun in their solar system as well as Lightfall.
History[]
Little is known about the past of Starland, though it’s said have had founding mothers and Old Prism was one of its first settlements. In Tessa’s Lost and Found it’s revealed that the first contact between Starlings and Wishlings that led to wish energy’s discovery was entirely unintentional.
Government[]
Starland is implied to have a form of democracy, as it has a president over the entire planet, who was Andromeda Glint while Lady Stella and Rancora were students at Starling Academy. Besides that, the only other thing known about it’s government is that Sage’s father Leonard works for it.
Weather[]
Just like Wishworld, Starland gets rain, snow, wind, and lots of sunlight. However snow takes a form heavily resembling confetti, as it appears as colorful shining flakes. Rain is also more of a glittery wet mist in various colors than clear drops of water.

Inconsistencies[]
- In the book Scarlet Discovers True Strength, it was mentioned that there were no doctors in Starland, although in the previous book it was mentioned that Vega's mother worked as a nurse in a hospital.
- In the above book as well, while on a wish mission Scarlet and Ophelia did not know what a circus was, although Clover's family was a famous stellar circus group.
- In the book Tessa's Lost and Found, it’s said that animals on Starland weren’t really abandoned or lost and Tessa didn’t know what an animal shelter is, despite it being revealed in Libby and the Class Election that animal shelters exist on Starland.
- In Scarlet Discovers True Strength it’s established that Starlings cannot get sick, yet in Adora Finds a Friend the term ‘starpox’ is mentioned along with feeling sick.
- In Sage and the Journey to Wishworld the titular character sees Tessa in her Starling form and vice versa, regardless of her disguise as a Wishling. However in the very next book, Libby and the Class Election, Libby recognizes Sage in her Wishling disguise. Scarlet Discovers True Strength has Scarlet able to see Ophelia as a Wishling, and in Tessa's Lost and Found Adora is also described as being ‘muted’ when she appears to help Tessa.
Trivia[]

- Only virtual money is used on Starland.
