In order to keep Star Darlings Wikia a safe space for fans, there are certain things that we do not tolerate. Please follow these policies to avoid any issues. Violating any of these policies can get you a warning or ban.
Inappropriate
- Adding noncanonical information, such as details that are blatantly incorrect or not confirmed as canon. Canon includes both the animated series and books.
- Posting content that is fanon, including original characters or fanfictions. Those are acceptable in discussion posts, blog posts, or Fancontent Promotions. Any content of the sort that isn’t on there shall be deleted.
- Removing giant chunks of information on articles. That is considered vandalism.
- Being highly profane or otherwise putting mature content in articles. This will you get you anywhere from a month-long to a permanent ban based on the rules, as this wiki is obviously for a franchise targeted towards minors.
- Being subjective and expressing personal thoughts in articles. All articles should be written from a neutral perspective.
- Not having seen these policies isn’t an excuse, as they are linked to on the main page of the wiki.
- Adding unneeded, random, or unnecessary pages, categories, or edits. See Notability for what should and shouldn’t get a page.
- Directly copying from the books unless it is presented as an official description or quotation. Copying from any other source is frowned upon as well. Both of them count as plagiarism.
- Deliberately writing with poor grammar or spelling. Please make use of free extensions such as Grammarly and double check your work.
- Using AI such as ChatGPT to write/make the bulk of your edits. It is much more preferable and meaningful for you to work on edits yourself. Please do not clutter the wiki with AI generated content.
Appropriate
- As this is an English wiki for an American franchise, any and all contributions should follow American English standards of grammar, spelling, and punctuation as well as formal language.
- Avoid from being causal or using obscene words in articles. Self explanatory.
- You can upload as many pictures as you want, as long they are relevant to this wiki.
- Please write in third person, be objective as well as precise, and break down information into paragraphs.
- Whenever you create a new page, add at least one sentence or paragraph to start it. Don't let it have only a few words or be blank.
- If there are any, please cite references if able. Self explanatory.
