The Star Darlings doll line first released in November 2015 to promote the franchise, manufactured by Jakks Pacific. The first deluxe dolls were initially available to purchase at the Disney Store. Since 2017, the line has been discontinued and is no longer in stores.
Structure[]
The dolls themselves had articulation at the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and limited movement at the knees. They had inset eyes with a built-in eyelash ‘ridge’ to give depth without eyelashes. There were four main face molds.
- Closed Smile is the one that dolls of Sage, Piper, and Cassie have.
- Smirk is the one that’s exclusive to Scarlet dolls.
- Teeth Showing Smile is the mold on dolls of Libby and Leona.
- Vega has her own unique face mold, which has a closed smile and a modified eye shape.
There were two main body types. A taller one that’s used for Sage, Libby, Leona, Cassie, and Piper dolls. The second body type has a slightly shorter build and wider hips, which is used for Vega and Scarlet dolls.
Hair came in various colors depending on the doll, but all of them (excluding Wishworld ones) included tinsel in their hair.
Star Glow[]
The titular line of dolls came with a display stand that could also light up as well as pieces to make a wish necklace, including Sage, Libby, Leona, Vega, and Scarlet. Each one retailed originally for $30.
Star Academy[]

This second wave was indistinguishable from the original dolls, lacking a display stand and necklace to come with a ring resembling their Power Crystals. It also included Sage, Libby, Leona, Vega, and Scarlet.

Wishworld[]
Piper, Scarlet, Sage, and Cassie out of box
This line featured characters in their Wishling disguises, serving as a budget alternative to the more expensive base dolls. It held the first (and last for the former) dolls of Piper and Cassie. Leona and Libby had ones planned for a later release, though they never made it into production. Sage and Scarlet were also in the first and only wave of the line.

Sparkle Rock[]
These dolls were also indistinguishable from the first line, coming with instruments and the addition of a stage playset with an exclusive doll. All the members of the band, Sage, Libby, Leona, Vega, and Scarlet were featured.

Books[]
Another line was released with dolls of Sage, Libby, and Scarlet. They came dressed in their original outfits as well as their books. (Sage and the Journey to Wishworld for Sage, Libby and the Class Election for Libby, and Scarlet Discovers True Strength for Scarlet).
Pets[]
These dolls were the very last ones released in stores, having the debut Starland doll of Cassie. It also featured figurines of Bitty (Glowfur) and MO-J4. They were exclusive to Toys R Us stores in the United Kingdom.
Trivia[]
- In the artwork and animation, Scarlet’s hair is short, mostly burgundy pink with dark purple streaks. On her dolls she instead has a ponytail of dark purple hair with thin pink streaks.
- Of the twelve Star Darlings, Astra, Tessa, Adora, Clover, and Gemma haven’t received any dolls.
- Vega’s the only Star Darling that’s part of the band to not have had a Wishworld doll produced or planned to be in stores.
- Piper is the only Star Darling to only have a doll of her Wishling form.
- On the packaging of the dolls, their last names are all ‘Starling’.
- Out of all the Star Darlings, Sage has the most dolls, totaling to six.
- Sage is also the only Star Darling to receive a playset.
- She is the only Star Darling to have more than one doll with an outfit different from her base ones. These dolls are the Sparkle Rock Stage playset, the Pets doll, and her Wishworld doll.
- Sage is the only one to have two dolls in the same line, which is Sparkle Rock.
- The character with the least amount of dolls is Piper, having only one made to date.
- MO-J4 and Bitty are the only characters outside of the Star Darlings to appear in the doll line.
