As a leading Wishworld ambassador, she has studied Wishlings for many years. So it made perfect sense for her to teach classes in the ways of Wishlings. Professor Dumarre is a fantastic listener (that's how she learned so much about Wishlings). She also finds Wishlings humorous, maybe because of her own odd sense of humor. It's almost like all her time on Wishworld has made her more... human, more casual and grounded. Plus, she can do spot-on imitations of Wishlings that delight the girls. Her class, Wishworld Relations, is fun, and students get the lowdown on what Wishworld is really like from someone who's been there.
