Selection of the Wish Granter[]
The news of the third identified wish orb came to Leona while sitting with Ophelia in the winter orchard, where she comforted her after her first Star Darling class. Being excited, Leona hurried away with Ophelia to Lady Stella's office. In the Wish Cavern, the headmistress summoned the wish orb on the spot. The wish orb began to circulate the Star Darlings at high speeds. Finally, it stopped in front of Leona.
Prepping and journey[]
Lady Stella said they had no time to waste as the glow of the wish orb was fading, so Leona and Lady Stella immediately headed back to her office for a lightning-fast course on using her Star-zap on Wishworld. Leona then rushed to her room to check she hadn't forgotten anything and headed for the Wishworld Observatory Deck. Leona said goodbye to everyone there and received a star-shaped keychain from Lady Cordial. The Star Wranglers attached Leona to the shooting star, and she immediately went into space.
Just before she landed, Leona quickly selected the Wishworld Outfit Selector, choosing something suitable and changing her appearance. However, she landed in the middle of a large lake.

Audition for the talent show[]
After swimming onto the shore, she chose dry clothes from her star-zap; a soft golden sweater with long sleeves and a chenille star on the front, brown leggings with gold flecks and comfortable shoes lined with fur and trimmed with shiny gold sequins. She then used her star-zap to locate her wisher.
Her Star-zap lead her to Havisham Academy. After finding the headmistress and convincing her that she was a new student, Leona immediately went to look for her wisher. Along the way, she stopped to go to the bathroom and boosted her self-confidence with her mirror mantra. When she passed the information board, she noticed a poster about an upcoming talent show and decided that she would find her wisher there.
In the auditorium, she decided to talk to some of the contestants, and when she approached Lily Fisher, her wish pendant glowed. She learned from Lily that she wanted to sing during the competition. Lily was the second to be called upon for auditions. However, stage fright took over Lily, and she headed towards the courtyard instead. Leona followed her in trying to convince her, but Lily said she signed up "for a joke". Leona and Lily headed to the cafeteria and ran into Lily's older sister. Lily's older sister criticized her for dropping out of the audition, calling her a dummy. More upset, Lily ran out of the cafeteria. This exchange shocked Leona, who wanted to run after her but decided to think about what to do next. Since she was hungry, she decided to eat something. Calley noticed her and invited her to the table. Asking about the talent show, Leona heard how rude Talia and her friends were, which made other girls withdraw from participating.
After the meal, Leona went to her dorm room and heard her roommate singing beautifully in the shower. After a while, it turned out that her roommate was Lily. Leona encouraged her to go to auditions again, offering to go with her, to which Lily agreed.
Preparations for the competition[]
After auditioning, Lily got into the talent show but still was afraid to perform in front of the entire school. They both went into their room, Leona insisting on doing vocal exercises. Thanks to the vocal warmups, Lily slowly gained confidence.
On the morning of the talent show, Leona and Lily went to breakfast when they heard Talia - the unpleasant leader of the dance group - humming the song Lily sang. She did it to discourage the girl from performing. To make matters worse, Lily's sister also criticized her sister's behaviour, which caused Lily to run away from the cafeteria. Leona ran after she tried to convince her not to give up the performance. Then she had an idea - she offered to sing with her in a duet, finally convincing her.
Just as she was about to enter the building where they were supposed to exercise, Leona noticed a white flash in the sky - guessing that one of the Star Darlings had come to her aid - this time, Vega showed up. She told Leona that her low energy levels indicated something wasn't right. Vega was not convinced about Leona's idea of performing in a duet.
The Talent show and the granting of two wishes[]
The talent show started at seven o'clock sharp. The first to appear was Talia with her group, and although they got applause in the room, no one cheered for them backstage. While waiting for Lily's turn, Leona figured out what was wrong. When Lily's turn came, Leona announced on stage that Lily would sing a solo. She whispered to the girl that she could do it and repeated her mirror mantra. When Lily approached the microphone, wish energy flowed towards the Star Darling. Just before the performance, Talia made a malicious comment, to which Lily's sister spoke in defence of Lily. Immediately, Leona felt bursts of energy, one shortly after the other.
Ultimately, Lily won the talent show, and Talia and her friends ended up disqualified "for behaviour unbecoming to the students of Havisham Academy or anywhere else". Leona said goodbye to her wisher, but not before singing a duet with her for the last time, and then she returned with Vega to Starland.
Aftermath[]
When they arrived at Lady Stella's office, Leona and Vega were both pale and fading away now and then. It turned out that Leona's shooting star lost control and then began to drift. Fortunately, Vega helped her get back on her feet. Leona informed the headmistress about her granting of two wishes. However, when it was time to present the Wish orb, the orb didn't transform. At that moment, Gemma noticed Leona's wish pendant had burned out completely. Lady Stella said she would give it to Professor Dolores Raye for examination, giving it to Lady Cordial to take with her.
Wishworld Observations[]
- Wishworld water is cold. Recommend including a drying feature in future Star Darlings' Star-Zap.
- Warning! Be prepared: choice of Wishling wardrobe is not guaranteed.
- When on Wishworld, never use energy when you can use your hands. Not only will you conserve energy, you'll avoid embarrassing questions.
