Star Charmed is the very first episode of the Star Darlings animated series. It is about twelve students from Starling Academy finding out they are the chosen Star Darlings apart of a prophecy who will help save Starland from a negative energy crisis.
Description[]
Sage, Leona, Libby, Scarlet, Vega and seven other Starling Academy students discover that they are the chosen "Star-Charmed" Star Darlings. Will they have what it takes to save Starland from the negative energy that is threatening their world?
Plot[]
The episode starts with Sage outside of Lady Stella's office, holding her Star-Zap with a message from Lady Stella. The message contained only the letters 'SD'. Sage was confused by the message, trying to figure out what 'SD' could mean. After hearing the opinions of Vega, Scarlet and Leona on what they think 'SD' could mean, Lady Stella herself appears and gestures for Sage to come inside her office.
Inside are twelve girls seated by a table in Lady Stella's office. They chatter amongst themselves as they wonder why they were all called here. Lady Stella appears and tells the girls that they are not in trouble, but Starland is. She explains how Wish Energy is collected and how it helps Starland function with everyday life. Vega questions why Lady Stella is explaining this, as all of the girls already know about Wish Energy and how it works. Lady Stella then reveals the Energy Crisis that has been happening all over Starland. The girls are shocked upon hearing the news.
Lady Stella explains to them that whilst looking for a solution, she found an ancient oracle that foretold a prophecy of twelve star charmed starlings. These twelve star charmed starlings would be able to grant twelve mysterious wishes full of positive Wish Energy so powerful, they would be able to solve the crisis. Lady Stella reveals to them that she believes that they are the twelve star charmed starlings the oracle has foretold about, and will be trained to go down to Wishworld and grant the mysterious wishes.
Sage is over the moon upon hearing this, as she has always dreamed of being a Wish-granter and believes that she'll be able to show everyone that she is an excellent wish-granter despite being a first year. However, to everyone's disappointment, Lady Stella tells them that their identify as star charmed starlings must remain a secret, as it could be dangerous if anyone were to find out. Vega and Scarlet complain about their training being disguised as "extra tutoring", but Lady Stella vocalizes that her main concern is to save Starland, not their reputations at high school.
Sage and the other girls leave Lady Stella's office, where Vivica is waiting for her. She taunts Sage, telling her that 'SD' on her Star-zap meant 'Star Detention' or 'Star Dipper'. Feeling overwhelmed by her words, Sage accidentally levitates and swishes Vivica around with her wish energy. Sage is shocked, and questions whether or not she really did that.
Lady Stella strides behind, explaining that some starlings have "simply forgotten how to shine". Lady Stella walks back to her office, telling Sage that she'll see her at SD training. Before the office door closes, Sage quickly asks her what 'SD' means. Lady Stella responds with "Oh. It stands for Star Darlings, of course!"
