Eden Riegel is an American actress and voice actress. She is best known for her roles in Year One, American Pie, All My Children and The Lion Guard. She is the voice actor for Tessa in the Star Darlings animated series.
Biography[]
Riegel, who was born on January 1st 1981, in Washington, D.C., to Kurt and Lenore Riegel, was raised in a suburb of Virginia. She first developed an interest in acting while watching her brother Sam do dinner theatre; she later joined in for $10 each week. She got her big break when she was cast as Cosette in Les Misérables, which opened doors to numerous roles both on and off Broadway. She eventually left the school after earning her diploma from the Professional Children's School and enrolling there to study law with plans to become an attorney. She worked as a summer intern at the White House in 2000.
Before finally winning the prise in 2005, Riegel was shortlisted for three Daytime Emmy Awards in the category of Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series (2001, 2002, 2004). She was honoured with two Soap Opera Digest Awards: Outstanding Female Newcomer in 2001 and Outstanding Younger Lead Actress in 2005. Later that year, Riegel and her co-star and best friend Elizabeth Hendrickson left All My Children. Their final episode aired on February 24, 2005. After that, Riegel relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she continued her acting career.
